Project Friendship Society has many committees chaired by board members, supported by staff and driven by volunteers that carry out a lot of the objectives and goals set out in the Constitution.
The Ways and Means Committee works diligently on the two large fundraisers (The Diamond Dinner and Blue Rose Gala), grants and other community fund raising activities.
The Communications Committee works on the website, brochures and social media to encourage new members, retain current members and increase membership activities.
The Advocacy Committee meets the needs of the DiversAbility community. The Advocacy Committee is a very active group of individuals who explore a variety of disability issues and speak up on behalf of all. Programs availability, transportation, financial aid, parking availability, and of course, affordable and accessible housing and employment just a few issues that are reviewed and discussed with in a confidential support group.
Our main priority has been art, music, recreation and culture. This busy committee expects to continue their efforts on behalf of all people living in the north with varying levels of ability.
Prince George Connector (DiversAbility Leisure Guide) Committee, develop and maintain a leisure guide to ensure we are up to date and inclusive.
The Programs Committee is all about research and development. It recommends new programs and ensures the existing programs meet or exceed the requirements and expectations of the community we serve.
Board Development Committee is all about the internal workings of the society.
