Committees at Work

Project Friendship Society has many committees chaired by board members, supported by staff and driven by volunteers that carry out a lot of the objectives and goals set out in the Constitution.

Ways and Means Committee

The Ways and Means Committee works diligently on the two large fundraisers (The Diamond Dinner and Blue Rose Gala), grants and other community fund raising activities.

Communications Committee

The Communications Committee works on the website, brochures and social media to encourage new members, retain current members and increase membership activities.

Advocacy Committee

The Advocacy Committee meets the needs of the DiversAbility community. The Advocacy Committee is a very active group of individuals who explore a variety of disability issues and speak up on behalf of all. Programs availability, transportation, financial aid, parking availability, and of course, affordable and accessible housing and employment just a few issues that are reviewed and discussed with in a confidential support group.

Our main priority has been art, music, recreation and culture. This busy committee expects to continue their efforts on behalf of all people living in the north with varying levels of ability.
